Garfield minus Garfield

Tonight, listening to a podcast of NPR's "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me", I enjoyed Peter Segal's joke about how the recession has become so hard on the comic strip industry that Garfield is considering actually being funny. Well, Peter can take heart; even if Garfield can't pull it off, the strip can be made funny by simply removing the annoying, smug, fat cat from it.
